saptaśatikā prajñāpāramitā|

om namo bhagavatyai āryaprajñāpāramitāyai|



evaṃ mayā śrutam| ekasmin samaye bhagavān śrāvastyāṃ viharati sma jetavane'nāthapiṇḍadasyārāme mahatā bhikṣusaṃghena sārdhaṃ paripūrṇena arhadbhikṣusahasreṇa, bodhisattvānāṃ ca mahāsattvānāṃ mahāsaṃnāhasaṃnaddhānāṃ paripūrṇairdaśabhirbodhisattvaśatasahasraiḥ sārdhaṃ sarvairavinivartanīyairanuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ| tadyathā-mañjuśriyā ca kumārabhūtena, maitreyeṇa ca, asaṅgapratibhānena ca, anikṣiptadhureṇa ca, evaṃpramukhairdaśabhirbodhisattvaśatasahasraiḥ||



atha khalu mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūto'ruṇodgatakālasamaye svakādvihārānniṣkramya yena tathāgatavihārastenopasaṃkrāmat| upasaṃkramya vihārasya bahirdvāre sthito'bhūttathāgatasya darśanāya vandanāya paryupāsanāya| athāyuṣmānapi śāradvatīputraḥ svakādvihārānniṣkramya yena tathāgatavihārastenopasaṃkrāmadbhagavato darśanāya vandanāya paryupāsanāya| athāyuṣmānapi pūrṇo maitrāyaṇīputraḥ, āyuṣmānapi mahāmaudgalyāyanaḥ, āyuṣmānapi mahākāśyapaḥ, āyuṣmānapi mahākātyāyanaḥ, āyuṣmānapi mahākauṣṭhilaḥ, anye ca mahāśrāvakāḥ svakasvakebhyo vihārebhyo niṣkramya yena bhagavato vihārastenopasaṃkrāntāḥ, upasaṃkramya ekānte tasthuḥ||



atha khalu bhagavānabhikrāntābhikrāntaṃ mahāśrāvakasaṃnipātaṃ viditvā svakādvihārānniṣkramya bahirdvārasyaikānte prajñapta evāsane nyaṣīdat| niṣadya ca bhagavān jānanneva āyuṣmantaṃ śāradvatīputramāmantrayate sma-kutastvaṃ śāradvatīputra kalyamevāgatya tathāgatavihāradvāre sthitaḥ ? evamukte āyuṣmān śāradvatīputro bhagavantametadavocat-sarvaprathamataraṃ bhagavan mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūtastathāgatavihāradvāre sthitaḥ, paścādvayaṃ bhagavantaṃ draṣṭukāmāḥ||



atha khalu bhagavān jānanneva mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtamāmantrayate sma-satyaṃ kila tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ sarvaprathamataraṃ tathāgatavihāradvāre sthitastathāgatasya darśanāya vandanāya paryupāsanāya ca ? evamukte mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūto bhagavantametadavocat-evametat bhagavan, evametat sugata, prathamataramasmyāgataḥ svakādvihārānniṣkramya yena tathāgatavihārastenopasaṃkrāntaḥ, upasaṃkramya ekānte sthito bhagavato darśanāya vandanāya paryupāsanāya| tatkasya hetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan atṛpto'haṃ tathāgatasya darśanena vandanena paryupāsanena ca| yadapyahaṃ bhagavan tathāgatamupasaṃkramāmi darśanāya vandanāya paryupāsanāya, tatsarvasattvānāmarthāya| sacedbhagavan tathāgato draṣṭavyo vanditavyaḥ paryupāsitavyaḥ, evaṃ draṣṭavyaḥ, evaṃ vanditavyaḥ, evaṃ paryupāsitavyaḥ, yathāhaṃ paśyāmi yathāhaṃ vande yathāhaṃ paryupāse| evaṃ tathāgato dṛṣṭo bhavati vanditaḥ paryupāsitaśca| ahaṃ ca bhagavan sarvasattvānāṃ kṛtaśastathāgataṃ paśyāmi| bhagavānāha-kathaṃ mañjuśrīstathāgato draṣṭavyo yāvat paryupāsitavyaḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-tathatākāreṇa tathāgataṃ paśyāmi avikalpākāreṇa anupalambhayogena, evamanutpādākāreṇa tathāgataṃ paśyāmi, yāvad abhāvākāreṇa tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na ca tathatā samudāgacchati, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā bhavati na vibhavati, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā deśasthā na pradeśasthā, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā atītā na anāgatā na pratyutpannā, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā dvayaprabhāvitā nādvayaprabhāvitā, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā saṃkliśyate na vyavadāyate, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| na tathatā utpadyate na nirudhyate, evaṃ tathāgataṃ paśyāmi| evaṃ tathāgato dṛṣṭo bhavati vanditaḥ paryupāsitaśca| evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-evaṃ paśyaṃstvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ kiṃ paśyasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-evaṃ paśyannahaṃ bhagavan na kiṃcitpaśyāmi| evamahaṃ paśyan na kasyaciddharmasyotpādaṃ paśyāmi na nirodhaṃ paśyāmi||



athāyuṣmān śāradvatīputro mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-duṣkarakārakastvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ, yastvaṃ tathāgatamevaṃ paśyasi evaṃ paryupāsse, yasya ca te sarvasattvānāmantike mahāmaitrī pratyupasthitā| na ca te kācitsattvopalabdhiḥ sattvābhiniveśo vā| sarvasattvaparinirvāṇāya cāsi pratipannaḥ| na ca te kaścitsattvābhiniveśaḥ pravartate| sarvasattvānāṃ ca te kṛtaśaḥ saṃnāhaḥ saṃnaddhaḥ| sa cānupalambhayogena yāvadabhāvayogena| evamukte mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūtaḥ āyuṣmantaṃ śāradvatīputrametadavocat-evametad bhadanta śāradvatīputra yathā kathayasi| sarvasattvaparinirvāṇāya saṃnāhaścaiṣa saṃnaddhaḥ| na ca me kācit sattvopalabdhirvā sattvābhiniveśo vā| nāyaṃ bhadanta śāradvatīputra saṃnāha evaṃ saṃnaddhaḥ-kathamahaṃ sattvadhātorūnatvaṃ vā kuryāṃ pūrṇatvaṃ vā ? sacedbhadanta śāradvatīputra parikalpamupādāya ekaikasmin buddhakṣetre gaṅgānadīvālukopamā buddhā bhagavanto bhaveyuḥ, ekaikaśca tathāgato gaṅgānadīvālukopamān kalpāṃstiṣṭhet sarātriṃdivaṃ ca dharmaṃ deśayamānaḥ, ekaikayā dharmadeśanayā yāvanto gaṅgānadīvālukāsamairbuddhairbhagavadbhiḥ sattvā vinītāḥ, tāvataḥ sattvānekaikastathāgataḥ ekaikayā dharmadeśanayā vinayet, evamapi kṛtvā naiva sattvadhātorūnatvaṃ vā pūrṇatvaṃ vā prajñāyate| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? sattvaviviktatvāt sattvāsattvād bhadanta śāradvatīputra sattvadhātorna conatvaṃ vā pūrṇatvaṃ vā prajñāyate||



evamukte āyuṣmān śāradvatīputro mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-yadi mañjuśrīḥ sattvaviviktatvāt sattvāsattvāt sattvadhātornaivonatvaṃ na pūrṇatvaṃ vā prajñāyate, tatkasyedānīṃ bodhimabhisaṃbudhya dharmaṃ deśayiṣyasi ? evamukte mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūta āyuṣmantaṃ śāradvatīputrametadavocat-yadā tāvadbhadanta śāradvatīputra atyantatayā sattvānupalabdhiḥ, tatko'trābhisaṃbhotsyate ? kasya vā dharmaṃ deśayiṣyate ? tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra atyantatayā sarvadharmānupalabdhiḥ||



atha khalu bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-yadā tāvanmañjuśrīḥ atyantatayā sarvadharmānupalabdhiḥ, tatkimidānīṃ sattvamapi prajñāpayiṣyasi ? api ca| sacenmañjuśrīḥ kaścidevaṃ pṛcchet-kiyantaḥ sattvā iti, kiṃ tasya tvaṃ vadeḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-tasyāhaṃ bhagavan evaṃ pṛṣṭa evaṃ vadeyam-yāvanta eva buddhadharmā iti| saced bhagavan punarapi pṛcchet-kiyatpramāṇaḥ sattvadhāturiti, tasyāhaṃ bhagavan evaṃ pṛṣṭa evaṃ vadeyam-yatpramāṇo buddhaviṣayaḥ [iti]||



bhagavānāha-sacetpunarapi te mañjuśrīḥ kaścidevaṃ pṛcchet-kiṃparyāpannaḥ sattvadhāturiti, kiṃ tasya tvaṃ vadeḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-tasyāhaṃ bhagavan evaṃ pṛṣṭa evaṃ vadeyam-yatparyāpannānutpādācintyatā [iti]||



bhagavānāha-sacetpunarapi te mañjuśrīḥ kaścidevaṃ pṛcchet-kiṃpratiṣṭhitaḥ sattvadhāturiti, kiṃ tasya tvaṃ vadeḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-tasyāhaṃ bhagavan evaṃ pṛṣṭa evaṃ vadeyam-yatpratiṣṭhito'nutpādadhātuḥ tatpratiṣṭhitaḥ sattvadhāturiti||



bhagavānāha-yasmin samaye tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayasi, tadā kutra pratiṣṭhitāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-yasminnahaṃ bhagavan samaye prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayāmi, apratiṣṭhito'haṃ tasmin samaye prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayāmi||



bhagavānāha-apratiṣṭhitasya te mañjuśrīḥ kā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā ? mañjuśrīrāha-saiva bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yanna kvacitpratiṣṭhānam||



bhagavānāha-yasmin samaye tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayasi, kataratte kuśalamūlaṃ tasmin samaye upacayaṃ gacchati apacayaṃ vā ? mañjuśrīrāha-na me bhagavan tasmin samaye kiṃcitkuśalamūlamupacayaṃ gacchati apacayaṃ vā| nāsau prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāvayati yasya kasyaciddharmasya upacayo vā apacayo vā bhavati| na sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā veditavyā, yā kasyaciddharmasya upacayāya vā apacayāya vā pratyupasthitā| sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā naiva pṛthagjanadharmān jahāti, nāpi buddhadharmānupādatte| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā na kasyaciddharmasyopalambhena pratyupasthitā yaṃ dharmaṃ prajahyādupādadīta vā| sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā naiva saṃsāradoṣānupayāti na nirvāṇaguṇān| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan saṃsārameva tāvann samanupaśyāmi, kaḥ punarvādaḥ saṃsāradoṣān| nirvāṇameva tāvannopalabhe, kaḥ punarvādo nirvāṇaguṇān drakṣyāmi| sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yanna kasyaciddharmasyādānaṃ vā grahaṇaṃ vā niḥsaraṇaṃ vā| sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na kasyaciddharmasya hānirvā vṛddhirvopalabhyate| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na hi bhagavan anutpādo hīyate vā vardhate vā| yaivaṃ bhagavan bhāvanā, sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā| sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na kaṃciddharmamutpādayati vā nirodhayati vā| sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na kasyaciddharmasyonatvaṃ vā pūrṇatvaṃ vā karoti| yā bhagavan evaṃ bhāvanā, saiva prajñāpāramitābhāvanā| punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitabhāvanā yā naivācintyān dharmān prārthayate na prādeśikān| api tu khalu punarbhagavan tadapi na saṃvidyate yatprārthayate, yena prārthayate, yatra prārthayate| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā| evaṃ pratyupasthitā ime dharmā agrāḥ ime dharmā hīnā iti| nāpi tān dharmānupalabhate yeṣāṃ dharmāṇāmagratā vā hīnatā vā syāt| evaṃ prajñāpāramitābhāvanāyogamanuyuktaḥ kulaputraḥ sarvadharmān nopalabhate| na bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā kaṃciddharmamagraṃ vā hīnaṃ vā kalpayati| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na hi bhagavan anutpādasya kiṃcidagraṃ vā hīnaṃ vā, nāpi tathatāyā bhūtakoṭyāḥ, yāvat sarvadharmāṇāṃ kiṃcidagraṃ vā hīnaṃ vā| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtamāmantrayate sma-na punarmañjuśrīḥ agrā buddhadharmāḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-agrāhyatvādbhagavan agrā buddhadharmāḥ| tatkiṃ punarbhagavan sarvadharmāḥ śūnyā iti tathāgatenābhisaṃbuddhāḥ ? bhagavānāha-evametanmañjuśrīḥ śūnyāḥ sarvadharmāstathāgatenābhisaṃbuddhāḥ| mañjuśrīrāha-tatkiṃ punarbhagavan śūnyatāyā agratā vā hīnatā prajñāyate ? bhagavānāha-sādhu sādhu mañjuśrīḥ, evametanmañjuśrīḥ yathā kathayasi| na punarmañjuśrīḥ anuttarā buddhadharmāḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha- evametadbhagavan anuttarā buddhadharmāḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan teṣvaṇurapi dharmo na saṃvidyate nopalabhyate| na te anuttarā buddhadharmāḥ| punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na buddhadharmāṇāmārādhanāya saṃvartate na pṛgjanadharmāṇāṃ prahāṇāya saṃvartate| na buddhadharmāṇāṃ vinayitrī, na saṃdhārayitrī| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā||



punaraparaṃ sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā draṣṭavyā yā na kaṃciddharmaṃ cintayati na vijānīte| bhagavānāha-na tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ buddhadharmāṃścintayasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-no bhagavan| cintayeyamahaṃ bhagavan buddhadharmān, sacedahaṃ buddhadharmāṇāṃ pariniṣpattiṃ paśyeyam| na bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā kasyaciddharmasya vikalpena pratyupasthitā-ime pṛthagjanadharmāḥ, ime śrāvaka dharmāḥ, ime pratyekabuddhadharmāḥ ime samyaksaṃbuddhadharmā iti| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tameva bhagavan dharmaṃ prajñāpāramitābhāvanāyogamanuyuktaḥ kulaputro nopalabhate, yasyaitān dharmān pṛthagjanadharmān vā nirdiśet, śaikṣadharmān vā nirdiśet, aśaikṣadharmān vā nirdiśet, samyaksaṃbuddhadharmān vā nirdiśet| tānatyantatayā dharmān na samanupaśyāmi| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā| na bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanāyogamanuyuktasya kulaputrasyaivaṃ bhavati-ayaṃ kāmadhātuḥ, ayaṃ rūpadhātuḥ, ayamārūpyadhātuḥ, yāvad ayaṃ nirodhadhāturiti| tatkasmāddhetoḥ? tathā hi sa bhagavan na kaściddharmaḥ, yo nirodhadharmaṃ samanupaśyati| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā veditavyā||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan eṣā sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na kasyaciddharmasyopakāraṃ vā apakāraṃ vā karoti| na hi bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā buddhadharmāṇāṃ dhātrī, na pṛthagjanadharmāṇāmācchetrī| eṣaiva sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā naiva pṛthagjanadharmāṇāṃ nirodhaḥ, na buddhadharmāṇāṃ nirodhaḥ, na buddhadharmāṇāṃ pratilambhaḥ||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-sādhu sādhu mañjuśrīḥ yastvamimamevaṃrūpaṃ gambhīraṃ dharmaṃ deśayasi| sthāpitā te mañjuśrīriyaṃ mudrā bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānām, ābhimānikānāṃ ca śrāvakāṇām, aupalambhikānāṃ ca bodhisattvayānikānāṃ ca yathābhūtaṃ pratibodhāya| na te mañjuśrīḥ kulaputrā vā kuladuhitaro vā ekabuddhaparyupāsitā bhaviṣyanti naikabuddhāvaropitakuśalamūlāḥ, ye imaṃ gambhīraṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| api tu khalu punarmañjuśrīḥ atikramya te buddhasahasrāvaropitakuśalamūlā bhaviṣyanti, ye imaṃ gambhīraṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyanti, notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante||



evamukte mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūto bhagavantametadavocat-pratibhāti me bhagavan bhūyasyā mātrayā prajñāpāramitānirdeśaḥ| pratibhātu te mañjuśrīḥ, iti bhagavānasyāvocat| mañjuśrīrāha- eṣā sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā na kasyaciddharmasya sthitimupalabhate nāsthitim| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? asthitatvātsarvadharmāṇāṃ nopalabhate| eṣaiva sa bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā veditavyā, yā na kasyaciddharmasyādhyālambanāya pratyupasthitā| tatkasya hetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan nirālambanāḥ sarvadharmāḥ| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā draṣṭavyā yatra buddhadharmā api nābhimukhībhavanti kutaḥ punaḥ pratyekabuddhadharmāḥ| nāpi śrāvakadharmā abhimukhībhavanti, kaḥ punarvādaḥ pṛthagjanadharmāṇām||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā (yāṃ ?) bhāvanāmāgamya acintyānapi buddhadharmānacintyā buddhadharmā iti na vikalpamāpadyate| seyaṃ bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānāṃ sarvadharmāvikalpāya draṣṭavyā||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā(yāṃ ?) bhāvanāmāgamya sarvadharmān buddhadharmān paśyati, sarvadharmānacintyadharmān paśyatyasamanupaśyanatayā| bahubuddhaśatasahasraparyupāsitāste bhagavan kulaputrāḥ kuladuhitaraśca bhaviṣyanti ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante nottrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpātsyante||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan sā prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yāṃ na kaściddharmaḥ saṃkliśyate vā vyavadāyate vā samanupaśyati| evaṃ bhāvanā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā| sā caiṣā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā yā naiva pṛthagjananānātvaṃ karoti, na śrāvakanānātvam, na pratyekabuddhanānātvam, yāvat samyaksaṃbuddhanānātvaṃ ca karoti| eṣā sā bhagavan prajñāpāramitābhāvanā|



atha khalu bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtamāmantrayate sma-kiyantastvayā mañjuśrīḥ tathāgatāḥ paryupāsitāḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-yāvanto bhagavan māyāpuruṣasya cittacaitasikā niruddhāḥ, iyanto mayā bhagavan tathāgatāḥ paryupāsitāḥ| bhagavānāha-na tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ buddhadharmasaṃsthitaḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-kaścitpunarbhagavan sa dharma upalabhyate yo na buddhadharmasaṃsthitaḥ ? bhagavānāha-kasya punarmañjuśrīḥ ete buddhadharmāḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-bhagavan tava tāvadete buddhadharmā iti nāma na saṃvidyate nopalabhyate, kutaḥ punaranyeṣāṃ bhaviṣyati ?



bhagavānāha- prāptā te mañjuśrīrasaṅgatā ? mañjuśrīrāha-tadyadā tāvadahaṃ bhagavan na saṅgataiva, tatkiṃ bhūyo'hamasaṅgatāmanuprāpsyāmi ?



bhagavānāha-tatkiṃ niṣaṇṇo'si mañjuśrīrbodhimaṇḍe ? mañjuśrīrāha-bhagavāneva tāvadbodhimaṇḍe na niṣaṇṇaḥ, kathaṃ punarahaṃ niṣatsyāmi bhūtakoṭiṃ pramāṇīkṛtya ? bhagavānāha-bhūtakoṭiriti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha-bhūtakoṭiriti bhagavan satkāyasyaitadadhivacanam| bhagavānāha-kiṃ saṃdhāya mañjuśrīrevaṃ vadasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-asanneṣa bhagavan kāyo na satkāyaḥ| naiṣa saṃkrāmati na viṣaṃkrāmati| tenaiṣa kāyo'satkāya||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāradvatīputro bhagavantametadavocat-niyatāste bhagavan bodhisattvā mahāsattvā bhaviṣyanti bodhaye, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti saṃtrāsamāpatsyante||



atha khalu maitreyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavantametadavocat-āsannībhūtāste bhagavan bodhisattvā mahāsattvā bhaviṣyanti bodhaye, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? eṣaiva bhagavan paramā bodhiḥ, yaiṣāṃ dharmāṇāmanubodhanā||



atha khalu mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūto bhagavantametadavocat-buddhā eva te bhagavan bodhisattvā mahāsattvā draṣṭavyāḥ, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? buddha iti paramārthato'nutpādasyaitadadhivacanam||



atha khalu nirālambā bhaginī bhagavantametadavocat-na te bhagavan bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ pṛthagjanadharmān śrāvakadharmān pratyekabuddhadharmān samyaksaṃbuddhadharmānadhyāmbiṣyante, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan nirālambāḥ sarvadharmā asaṃvidyamānatvāt| tenaiṣāmālambanaṃ na saṃvidyate||



atha khalu bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāradvatīputramāmantrayate sma-evametacchāradvatīputra, evametat| niyatāste kulaputrāḥ kuladuhitaraśca bhaviṣyanti bodhaye, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, nottrasanti na saṃtrasanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| avinivartanīyabhūmau tvaṃ śāradvatīputra pratiṣṭhitāṃstān kulaputrān kuladuhitaraśca jānīṣva, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, nottrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante, mūrdhnā ca pratigrahīṣyanti| te te śāradvatīputra paramadānapatayo bhaviṣyanti mahādānapatayo viśiṣṭadānapatayaḥ| te te śāradvatīputra śīlasaṃpannā bhaviṣyanti paramaśīlavantaḥ paramaviśiṣṭaśīlaguṇapathaprāptāḥ, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, nottrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante| te te śāradvatīputra paramayā kṣāntyā, parameṇa vīryeṇa, paramairdhyānaiḥ, paramayā apratisamayā prajñayā samanvāgatā bhaviṣyanti| te te śāradvatīputra bodhisattvā mahāsattvā yāvat sarvakāravaropetena sarvajñajñānena samanvāgatā bhaviṣyanti, ye imaṃ prajñāpāramitānirdeśaṃ śrutvā adhimokṣyante, notrasiṣyanti na saṃtrasiṣyanti na saṃtrāsamāpatsyante||



punaraparaṃ bhagavan mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūmetadavocat-kaṃ punastvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ arthavaśaṃ saṃpaśyan icchasyanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum ? mañjuśrīrāha-sacedahaṃ bhagavan bodhaye saṃpratiṣṭheyam, evamahamiccheyamabhisaṃboddhum| nāhaṃ bhagavan bodhiṃ prārthayāmi| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? bodhirevaiṣa yo'yaṃ mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūtaḥ||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat- sādhu sādhu mañjuśrīḥ, yastvamimānyevaṃrūpāṇi gambhīrāṇi gambhīrāṇi sthānāni nirdiśasi| yathāpi tvaṃ pūrvajinakṛtādhikāro'nupalambhaciracaritabrahmacaryaḥ| mañjuśrīrāha-labdha eva bhagavan dharmaḥ syāt, yadyahamanupalambhacārī syām||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-paśyasi tvaṃ mañjuśrīrimāṃ mama śrāvakasaṃpadam ? mañjuśrīrāha paśyāmi bhagavan| bhagavānāha-kathaṃ paśyasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-tathāhaṃ bhagavan paśyāmi yathā naiva pṛthagjanāna paśyāmi, naiva śaikṣān paśyāmi, naivāśaikṣān paśyāmi| nāpi paśyāmi, nāpi naiva paśyāmi, evaṃ paśyāmi| yannaiva bahūn paśyāmi, nāpyalpakān paśyāmi| yannaiva vinītān paśyāmi, nāpyavinītān paśyāmi||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāradvatīputro mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-yastvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ śrāvakayānikānevaṃ paśyasi, samyaksaṃbuddhayānikān punastvaṃ kathaṃ paśyasi ? mañjuśrīrāha- bodhisattva iti bhadanta śāradvatīputra nāma dharmaṃ na samanupaśyāmi, bodhāya saṃprasthita iti nāma dharmaṃ na samanupaśyāmi| bodhāya caratīti nāma dharmaṃ na samanupaśyāmi| abhisaṃbudhyata iti nāma dharmaṃ na samanupaśyāmi| evaṃ bhadanta śāradvatīputra samyaksaṃbuddhayānikān paśyāmi| śāradvatīputra āha-tathāgataṃ punastvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ kathaṃ paśyasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-tiṣṭhatu bhadanta śāradvatīputra mahānāgaḥ| mā mahānāgaṃ ghaṭṭaya||



evamukte āyuṣmān śāradvatīputro mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-buddha iti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha-yatpunarbhadanta śāradvatīputra ucyate ātmeti, kasyaitadadhivacanam ? śāradvatīputra āha-anutpādasyaitanmañjuśrīradhivacanaṃ yaduta ātmeti| mañjuśrīrāhaevametadbhadanta śāradvatīputra yasyaitadadhivacanamātmeti, tasyaitadadhivacanaṃ buddha iti| api tu bhadanta śāradvatīputra apadādhivacanametad yadidamucyate buddha iti| na hyetadbhadanta śāradvatīputra vācābhirvijñāpayituṃ buddha iti| vāgapi bhadanta śāradvatīputra na sukarā nirūpayitum- iyaṃ vāgiti, kutaḥ punarbuddha iti| api tu bhadanta śāradvatīputra yadevaṃ vadasi-kasyaitadadhivacanaṃ buddha iti, yo na samudāgato notpanno na nirotsyate, yo na kenaciddharmeṇa samanvāgato nāpyatra kiṃcitpadamabhedam, apadasyaitadbhadanta śāradvatīputra adhivacanaṃ yaduta buddha iti| tathāgataṃ bhadanta śāradvatīputra paryeṣitukāmena ātmā paryeṣitavyaḥ| ātmeti bhadanta śāradvatīputra buddhasyaitadadhivacanam| yathā ātmā atyantatayā na saṃvidyate nopalabhyate, tathā buddho'pyatyantatayā na saṃvidyate nopalabhyate| yathā ātmā na kenaciddharmeṇa vacanīyaḥ, tathā buddho'pi na kenaciddharmeṇa vacanīyaḥ| yatra na kācitsaṃkhyā, sa ucyate buddha iti| na caitadbhadanta śāradvatīputra sukaramājñātumātmeti yadadhivacanam, evametadbhadanta śāradvatīputra na sukaramājñātuṃ buddha iti yadadhivacanam||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāradvatīputro bhagavantametadavocat-nāyaṃ bhagavan mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūtastathā deśayati yathā ādikarmikā bodhisattvā ājānīyuḥ| evamukte mañjuśrīḥ kumārabhūtaḥ āyuṣmantaṃ śāradvatīputrametadavocat-nāhaṃ bhadanta śāradvatīputra tathā deśayāmi yathā kṛtāvino'pyarhanta ājñāsyanti| nāpyahaṃ tathā deśayāmi yathā kaścidvijñāsyati| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na bodhiḥ kenacidvijñātā, nāpi saṃbuddhā, na dṛṣṭā, na śrutā, na smṛtā, notpāditā, na nirodhitā, noddiṣṭā, nopadeśitā| etāvadeva bhadanta śāradvatīputra yāvatā bodhiḥ| sā ca bodhirna bhāvo nāpyabhāvaḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na bodhyā kiṃcidabhisaṃboddhavyam, nāpi bodhirbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate||



śāradvatīputra āha-na mañjuśrīrbhagavatā dharmadhāturabhisaṃbuddhaḥ ? mañjuśrīrāha-na bhadanta śāradvatīputra bhagavatā dharmadhāturabhisaṃbuddhaḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra dharmadhātureva bhagavān| sacedbhadanta śāradvatīputra bhagavatā dharmadhāturabhisaṃbuddhaḥ syāt, tadyo'sāvanutpādadhātuḥ sa nirudhyo bhavet| api tu bhadanta śāradvatīputra sa eva dharmadhāturbodhiḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? niḥsattvo hi dharmadhātuḥ| abhāvāḥ sarvadharmā iti bodheradhivacanametat, yo'sau dharmadhāturiti saṃkhyāṃ gacchati| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? sarvadharmā hyanānātvaṃ buddhaviṣayataḥ| anānātvamiti bhadanta śāradvatīputra avijñaptikaṃ padametat| avijñaptikamiti bhadanta śāradvatīputra naitacchakyaṃ vijñāpayituṃ saṃskṛtatvena vā yāvad asaṃskṛtatvena vā| na tatra kācidvijñaptiḥ, tena tadavijñaptikam| sarvadharmā hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra avijñaptikāḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi sarvadharmāṇāṃ prādurbhāvo nāsti yasmin sthitvā vijñapyeran| ye'pyamī ānantaryaprasṛtā acintyaprasṛtāḥ, te| ye ca acintyaprasṛtā bhūtaprasṛtāste| tatkasmāddhetoḥ? bhūtamiti bhadanta śāradvatīputra abhedapadametat| ye'pi acintyadharmasamanvāgatāḥ, naiva te svargagāminaḥ, na apāyagāminaḥ, na parinirvāṇagāminaḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na hi acintyaṃ gamanāgamanena pratyupasthitam, yāvat na parinirvāṇaṃ gamanāgamanena pratyupasthitam| ye'pi bhadanta śāradvatīputra catasṛṣu mūlāpattiṣvavasthitāḥ, amūle te'vasthitāḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra anutpādasya mūlaṃ vā agraṃ vā iṣyate| amūlo bhikṣuriti apratiṣṭhitasya bhikṣoretadadhivacanam| utpannamadhikaraṇamiti adhikasamāropasyaitadadhivacanam| adhikasamārope bhadanta sāradvatīputra caran loke dakṣiṇīyo bhavati| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi samaḥ so'dhikasamāropaḥ| śrāddho bhadanta śāradvatīputra bhikṣurnārhati śraddhādeyaṃ paribhoktum| aśrāddho bhadanta śāradvatīputra bhikṣurarhati śraddhādeyaṃ paribhoktum| kalpito bhadanta śāradvatīputra bhikṣurnārhati śraddhādeyaṃ paribhoktum| akalpiko bhadanta śāradvatīputra bhikṣurarhati śraddhādeyaṃ paribhoktum| asamupahatanetrīko bhikṣurarhan kṣīṇāsrava ityucyate||



śāradvatīputra āha-kiṃ saṃdhāya mañjuśrīrevaṃ vadasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-na samatā samupahatā, yā samatā saiva sā netrī| idaṃ saṃdhāya bhadanta śāradvatīputra evaṃ vadāmi-asamupahatanetrīko bhikṣurarhan kṣīṇāsrava ityucyate| anuttīrṇabhaya (bhava ?) iti bhadanta śāradvatīputra arhataḥ kṣīṇāsravasyaitadadhivacanam| śāradvatīputra āha-kiṃ saṃdhāya mañjuśrīrevaṃ vadasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-aṇūnyapi tasya bhayāni na saṃvidyante| tatkimuttariṣyati ? idaṃ saṃdhāya bhadanta śāradvatīputra evaṃ vadāmi-anuttīrṇabhaya iti arhataḥ kṣīṇāsravasyaitadadhivacanamiti||



śāradvatīputra āha-anutpannakṣāntika iti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha-yena bhadanta śāradvatīputra aṇurapi dharmo notpāditaḥ, sa ucyate'nutpannakṣāntika iti||



śāradvatīputra āha-avinīto bhikṣuriti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha-avinīto bhikṣuriti bhadanta śāradvatīputra arhataḥ kṣīṇāsravasyaitadadhivacanam| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? avinayo hi vinītaḥ, na vinayo vinītaḥ| idaṃ saṃdhāya bhadanta śāradvatīputra evaṃ vadāmi- avinīto bhikṣuriti arhataḥ kṣīṇāsravasyaitadadhivacanam||



śāradvatīputra āha- adhicitte caratīti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha- adhicitte caratīti bhadanta śāradvatīputra pṛthagjanasyaitadadhivacanam| śāradvatīputra āha- kiṃ saṃdhāya mañjuśrīrevaṃ vadasi ? mañjuśrīrāha-tathā hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra so'dhikaroti||



evamukte āyuṣmān śāradvatīputro mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-sādhu sādhu mañjuśrīḥ, yathā arhan kṣīṇāsravastathā kathayasi| mañjuśrīrāha-evametadbhadanta śāradvatīputra yathā vadasi| kṣīṇāsravo'smi, na cārhan| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhadanta śāradvatīputra kṣīṇā me āsravāḥ śrāvakabhūmau vā pratyekabuddhabhūmau vā| anena bhadanta śāradvatīputra paryāyeṇa kṣīṇāsravo na cārhan||



atha khalu bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-syānmañjuśrīḥ paryāyo yadbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhimaṇḍe niṣaṇṇo'bhavyo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum ? mañjuśrīrāhasyādbhagavan paryāyaḥ yabdodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhimaṇḍe niṣaṇṇaḥ abhavyo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum| tatkasya hetoḥ ? tathā hi bodhāvaṇurapi dharmo na saṃvidyate nopalabhyate| tenocyate'nuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiriti| sā ca bodhiranutpannā| tatra na kaściddharmaḥ saṃvidyate nopalabhyate, yo bodhimaṇḍe niṣīdet, yo vā bodhimabhisaṃbudhyet, yena vā bodhirabhisaṃbudhyeta, yo vā bodhimaṇḍāduttiṣṭhediti| anena bhagavan paryāyeṇa abhavyo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhimaṇḍe niṣaṇṇo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-bodhiriti mañjuśrīḥ kasyaitadadhivacanam ? mañjuśrīrāha- bodhiriti bhagavan pañcānāmānantaryāṇāmetadadhivacanam| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bodhiprakṛtikānyeva tāni pañcānantaryāṇi abhāvatvāt| tenaiṣā bodhirānantaryaprakṛtikā, anantaryāṇāmabhisaṃbudhyanā bodhiḥ, na ca pratyakṣībhāvanā sarvadharmeṣu bodhiḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? sarvadharmā hi atyantatayā apratyakṣāḥ| te na kenacidabhisaṃbuddhāḥ, na dṛṣṭāḥ, na jñātāḥ, yāvat na viditāḥ| evameṣā bodhiḥ| api tu khalu punarbhagavan abhimānikaiḥ sthāpitānyetāni abhisaṃbudhāni(ddhā ?), yāvat pratyakṣīkṛtāni||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-kiṃ te mañjuśrīḥ mamāntike evaṃ bhavati-tathāgato me tathāgata iti ? mañjuśrīrāha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na me bhagavan evaṃ bhavet-tathāgato me tathāgata iti| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? [tathā caiva tathatā ca] yathā ca tathātā, tathā caiṣa tathāgataḥ| tathā hi bhagavan na tathatā tathāgataṃ vijñapayati, nāpi tathāgatastathatāṃ vijñapayati| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan paramārthato'bhāvā tathatā| abhāvastathāgataḥ| tasmāttarhi bhagavan na me evaṃ bhavati-tathāgato me tathāgata iti| api tu tathāgata iti bhagavan nāmadheyamātrametat| tat kataro'sau tathāgato yatra me evaṃ bhaviṣyati-tathāgato me tathāgata iti ? bhagavānāha-sa (tat ?)saṃśayaste mañjuśrīstathāgate? mañjuśrīrāha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| syādatra me bhagavan saṃśayaḥ, sacet kācittathāgatapariniṣpattiḥ syat, tathāgatotpattirvā tathāgataparinirvāṇaṃ vā||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-na tava mañjuśrīrevaṃ bhavati-utpannastathāgata iti? mañjuśrīrāha-syānme bhagavan utpannastathāgata iti, saceddharmadhātorutpattiḥ syāt||



bhagavānāha-nādhimucyase tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ gaṅgānadīvālukopamā buddhā bhagavantaḥ parinirvṛtā iti ? mañjuśrīrāha-kaścit punarbhagavan ekaviṣayā buddha bhagavanto yadidamacintyaviṣayāḥ ? bhagavānāha-evametanmañjuśrīḥ, ekaviṣayā buddhā bhagavanto yadidamacintyaviṣayāḥ| mañjuśrīrāha-kaścitpunarbhagavan etarhi tiṣṭhati? bhagavānāha-evametanmañjuśrīḥ| mañjuśrīrāha-tena hi bhagavan ete gaṅgānadīvālukopamā buddhā bhagavanto na parinirvṛtāḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi bhagavan ekaviṣayā buddhā bhagavanto yadidamacintyaviṣayāḥ| na ca acintyatā utpadyate nirudhyate vā| tasmādbhagavan bhagavato vā abhisaṃbuddhena (ddhasya ?) ye'pi te anāgate'dhvani tathagatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā bhaviṣyanti, abhisaṃbuddhā eva te| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? na hi acintyatā atītā vā anāgatā vā pratyutpannā vā| tasmādbhagavan vibhramasteṣāṃ lokasaṃniveśaḥ| prapañcayanti te bhagavan lokasaṃniveśaṃ yeṣāmevaṃ bhavati- utpannastathāgato yāvat parinirvāsyati veti||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat- tena hi tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ idaṃ tathāgatācintyam, acintyaṃ niścintyaṃ tathāgatasya vā agrata udāhārairudāhareḥ, avaivartikasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya vā arhato vā kṣīṇāsravasya| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi te śrutvā naivānujñāsyanti, naiva pratikrokṣyanti| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi taccintyamacintyaṃ niścintyam| mañjuśrīrāha-acintyānāṃ niścintyānāṃ bhagavan sarvadharmāṇāṃ ko'trānujñāsyati vā pratikrokṣyati vā ? bhagavānāha-yathaiva mañjuśrīḥ tathāgato niścintyaḥ, tathaiva pṛthagjanā api niścintyāḥ| mañjuśrīrāha-pṛthagjanā api bhagavan tathaiva niścintyāḥ ? bhagavānāha-evametanmañjuśrīḥ| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi sarvāṇyacintyāni niścintyāni| mañjuśrīrāha-tatkasmādbhagavānevamāha-yathaiva tathāgato niścintyaḥ, evaṃ pṛthagjanā api niścintyā iti ? nanu bhagavan pṛthagjanatvamapi niścintyam| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? niścintyā hi bhagavan sarvadharmāḥ| ye kecidbhagavan parinirvāṇāya prasthitāḥ, vihariṣyante te bhagavan| tatkasmāddhetoḥ ? yaiva niścintyatā tadeva parinirvāṇam| tasmāttarhi bhagavan nāsti niścintyatāyāṃ nānātvam| ye'pi bhagavan evamāhuḥ-ime pṛthagjanadharmāḥ, ime āryadharmā iti, te idaṃ vacanīyāḥ- kalyāṇamitrāṇi tāvatparyupāsadhvam, tataḥ paścājjñāsyatha-ime pṛthagjanadharmāḥ ime āryadharmā iti||



evamukte bhagavān mañjuśriyaṃ kumārabhūtametadavocat-icchasi tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ tathāgataṃ sarvasattvānāmagryam ? mañjuśrīrāha-iccheyamahaṃ bhagavan tathāgataṃ sarvasattvānāmagryam, sacediha kācitsattvapariniṣpattiḥ syāt|



bhagavānāha-icchasi tvaṃ mañjuśrīḥ tathāgatamacintyadharmasamanvāgatam ? mañjuśrīrāha-iccheyamahaṃ bhagavan tathāgatamacintyadharmasamanvāgatam, sacetkaścidacintyadharmasamanvāgataḥ syāt||



bhagavānāha- icchasi punastvaṃ mañjuśrīrevam-ime śrāvakāstathāgatena vinītā iti ? mañjuśrīrāha-iccheyamahaṃ bhagavan evam-ime śrāvakāstathāgatena vinītā iti, sacet kaścidacintyadhātuvinayaṃ gacchet| na bhagavan buddhotpādaḥ kaśyacidupakāreṇa vā apakāreṇa vā pratyupasthitaḥ| taktasmāddhetoḥ ? tathā hi sthita eṣa dhātuḥ, asaṃkīrṇa eṣa dhātuḥ, yaduta acintyadhātuḥ| tasmiśca dhātau na śrāvakanānātvam, yāvat na pṛthagjananānātvamupalabhyate||



bhagavānāha-na tvaṃ mañjuśrīrevamicchasi-anuttaraṃ puṇyakṣetraṃ tathāgata iti ? mañjuśrīrāha-abhāvatvābhdagavan puṇyakṣetraṃ tathagataḥ, tenaitadanuttaraṃ puṇyakṣetram| yenaitatpuṇyakṣetraṃ nāpuṇyakṣetram, tenaitadanuttaraṃ puṇyakṣetram| api tu khalu punarbhagavan nātra kaściddharmaḥ samudāgacchati na kṣīyate| evaṃ tatpuṇyakṣetram| tatra ca bījaṃ prakṣiptaṃ na vivardhate na parihīyate| bhagavānāha-kiṃ saṃdhāya mañjuśrīrevaṃ vadasi-tatra kṣetre bījamavaropitaṃ na vivardhate na parihīyate iti ? mañjuśrīrāha-tathā hi bhagavan acintyaṃ tatkṣetram, evaṃ tatpuṇyakṣetram||



atha khalu tasyāṃ velāyāṃ buddhānubhāvena ṣaḍvikāraṃ mahāpṛthivīcālo'bhūt, ṣoḍaśānāṃ ca bhikṣusahasrāṇāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni, saptānāṃ bhikṣuṇīśatānāṃ trayāṇāṃ copāsakaśatānāṃ catvāriṃśataścopāsikāsahasrāṇāṃ ṣaṣṭeśca kāmāvacarāṇāṃ devakoṭīniyutaśatānāṃ virajo vigatamalaṃ dharmeṣu dharmacakṣurutpannam||



atha khalvāyuṣmānānanda utthāyāsanādekāṃsacīvaraṃ prāvṛtya dakṣiṇaṃ jānumāṇḍalaṃ pṛthivyāṃ pratiṣṭhāpya yena bhagavāṃstenāñjaliṃ praṇamya bhagavantametadavocat-ko bhagavan hetuḥ, kaḥ pratyayo'sya mahataḥ pṛthivīcālasya loke prādurbhāvāya ? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmāntamānandametadavocat-ayamānanda puṇyakṣetranirdeśo nāma dharmaparyāyaḥ pūrvakairapi buddhairbhagavadbhirasminneva pṛthivīpradeśe bhāṣitaḥ| ayamānanda hetuḥ, ayaṃ pratyayo'sya mahataḥ pṛthivīcālasya loke prādurbhāvāya||
